Back!

Hello my sweet lovelies. I've been gone for a while and soooo much has been going on. We had snow, lots and lots of snow. Almost 20 inches. That was hectic. Driving to work the day after getting 14 inches was interesting. I'm not used to so much snow! Let me just say, people in my town drive like crazed lunatics in just an inch of snow, you can imagine my horror getting out in it with as much as we had. I'd have felt safer at home.

My sister had emergency surgery. She's fine, now, but man what a scare. So the hubs and I had the kids this past weekend. My house still isn't as clean as it was, but homework has been piling up and that's more important than putting crayons away. Well, it's my excuse for being lazy :)

Also, I fell off the wagon. Sort of. Last week and the first part of this week had me at a 7 pound gain, and I only got back on track yesterday. I tell you what, that shit is SO HARD. Learn from my experience, starting over is a bitch. One who deserves a bat to the face.

I thought about just skipping the whole gain conversation, but for those of you out there who really do read this blog, I wanted to be honest with you. Shit happens, but it's not the end of the world. We fall, but we get back up, ya know? That's okay. It really is.

I just finished up a ton of homework I started after getting home from grocery shopping. We got our tax returns so I got me a couple books, a couple magazines, and an iTunes card. I've been obsessing over Carrie Underwood's song Two Black Cadillacs, as well as Kasey Musgraves Merry Go Round. Carrie's song is so dark - I like it! It screams to me "I'm a book, and I need written. Get on it!" Kasey's song reminds me of the small town I grew up in. I'll never go back there. Ever.

I did most of my homework today instead of tomorrow because tomorrow the hubs and I are going to go uptown and look around in the shops. Surprisingly there are some I've never been to, as well as some new ones I didn't know where there. I'm hoping to get some really good deals on movies at the pawn shops. At Walmart today I picked up Stand by Me and Interview with the Vampire on clearance. Yes, please! Oh, and you know for a fact I'll be going to the used bookstore to see what kinds of goodies I can find!

Well, I'm going to go download some music and see if my Vampire Diaries episode is on Hulu yet. I leave you with some pics from the snow storm we had.

This was at work. The snow fell down in chunks.
